Dr. David J. Bearss, Ph.D. is Founder, and Chief Scientific Officer of Code Nutrition Personalized Nutrition, LLC, and an expert in targeted small molecule drug development and the use of genetic model systems in drug discovery and development. Dr. Bearss received his Ph.D. in Cell and Structural Biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center where he studied the contribution of genetic alterations to the properties of dividing cells, including how they specifically affect treatment response. Upon receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Bearss was a fellow at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC) in San Antonio, Texas with Dr. Daniel D. VonHoff, a recognized leader in drug development having conducted more than 140 clinical trials with new antineoplastic and biologic agents in the past 17 years. Dr. Bearss later joined the faculty of the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology and a member of the Arizona Cancer Center where he developed several novel chemical entities targeted against drug targets validated in his lab. A gifted scientist, Dr. Bearss founded Montigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held drug discovery and development company focused in oncology, where he served as Chief Scientific Officer until the company's sale in 2006 to SuperGen, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUPG) for $40 Million. Dr. Bearss currently serves as Chief Scientist at SuperGen, and as Chief Scientific Officer of Code Nutrition, LLC. Dr. Bearss has published more than 48 manuscripts and book chapters and has won several awards for his scientific achievements. He has served as a consultant to the development of the pipelines of several biotechnology companies, as well as serving in various posts at the National Cancer Institute, and the National Institute of Health.

Dallin M. Anderson, is Managing Partner of Serial Capital, and is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Code Nutrition LLC. In 2003, Mr. Anderson founded Montigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held drug discovery and development company focused in oncology, where he served as Chairman, President, and CEO In 2006, Mr. Anderson sold Montigen Pharmaceuticals to SuperGen (Nasdaq: SUPG) for $40 Million, and founded Code Nutrition, LLC, a science-based developer of personalized genetic testing focused on wellness and nutrition. Prior to Montigen, Mr. Anderson worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, and in finance at Intel Corporation, in addition to starting, advising, and leading several early-stage companies. Mr. Anderson was recently honored as a 2006 finalist for the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" award for the Utah/Colorado region. He is a four-time inductee into the vSpring "v100 Entrepreneurs" and was selected for inclusion in Utah Business Magazine's "Top 40 under 40." Mr. Anderson is active on the boards of several early stage technology companies, and serves as a mentor to college students and entrepreneurs. Mr. Anderson received an A.A.S in Finance from Brigham Young University-Idaho where he served as Student Body President and graduated with Highest Honors, and a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University where he again served as Student body President and graduated with University Honors. Mr. Anderson holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

April Dean, Ph.D., R.D. received a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences with an Exercise Science minor at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She received a Master of Science in Nutrition, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics at Brigham Young University. Dr. Dean works as a part-time professor in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science at Brigham Young University. She has worked as a research scientist on numerous projects. Dr. Dean previously served as the Director of the Utah County WIC program and has worked in various capacities as a Registered Dietitian in hospital, clinic and private practice settings.
